A note before the details.

At furever, privacy isn't a legal afterthought. It's part of the same promise as everything else we do: that once a cat becomes yours, she is never handed over and walked away from. Keeping her record safe, complete, and continuous is how we keep that promise. We collect what we need to care for her well, we use it to keep her care unbroken, and we share it only with the people who are caring for her alongside you. That's the whole of it. The sections below say it more fully.

This policy applies to joinfurever.com, to the Purrpetual™ care experience, and to every part of furever where you and your cat are known to us.

What we collect.

We gather what we need to know you, to know your cat, and to keep her care continuous for the whole of her life. In practice, that means:

About you

The things that let us reach you and recognize you as her person: your name, email address, phone number, mailing and billing address, the details needed to process your Purrpetual™ membership and any care payments, and the account preferences you set. When you write to us or talk with our care team, we keep a record of that too, so you never have to start the conversation over.

About your cat

This is the heart of what we hold, and we hold it carefully. We keep your cat's full medical profile — her diagnoses, her condition and how it changes over time, her medications and dosages, her test results, her vaccination and treatment history, her diet, her weight, and the notes from every visit. We keep her behavioral profile, too: her routines, her temperaments, what soothes her and what unsettles her, the small particulars that make her care hers and no one else's. Taken together, this is her record — a single, living account of who she is and what she needs.

Her care and purchase history

Every refill, every wellness visit, every special-diet order, every piece of mobility or comfort gear you've ever provided for her. We keep this so that her care builds on itself rather than restarting, and so that nothing she needs is ever forgotten between one season of her life and the next.

Her clinic interactions

When your cat is seen at a Furever Certified clinic, the visit, the findings, and the care provided flow into her record automatically. That's by design: it means the people caring for her never work from a blank page, and her story stays whole as it moves from your home to her clinic and back again.

How you use furever

Like most websites, joinfurever.com collects a little technical information as you browse — your device and browser type, general location, and how you move through the site — so the experience stays gentle and works the way it should. More on that in Cookies below.

How we use it.

Everything we hold, we hold for one reason: to keep her care continuous, and never to let her story be lost. Specifically, we use the information above to:

• Welcome her home and set up her record from her very first day with you.
• Keep Purrpetual™ running quietly in the background — scheduling her wellness visits, monitoring her condition over time, and keeping her prescriptions arriving so her care never lapses.
• Make sure every clinician, pharmacist, and care partner who sees her is working from the same complete picture, so nothing is missed and nothing is repeated.
• Anticipate what she'll need next, gently — the next refill, the next check-in, the next small comfort — before a gap can open up.
• Reach you with the things that matter for her care, answer your questions, and keep your account and billing in good order.
• Understand, in aggregate, how cats with conditions like hers do best over a lifetime, so we can care for her — and the cats who come after her — a little better each year.
• Keep furever, and her record, safe and secure.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use her record to do anything other than care for her and keep that care unbroken.

Who we share it with.

A cat is cared for by more than one pair of hands, and care only works when those hands are in step. So we share your cat's record with the people who are caring for her alongside you — and only with them. Her story stays inside the circle of her care.

Our Furever Certified veterinary network

The clinics in our Furever Certified network are her care home. We share her full medical and behavioral record with the clinic that knows her, and with our wider network where her care may take her, so that whoever sees her already knows her name, her history, and exactly what she needs. She never arrives as a stranger. Wherever she is, her record is already there, waiting to take care of her.

Furever Pharmacy

Furever Pharmacy keeps her prescriptions filled and arriving on time. To do that, it works from her medication history and her clinicians' instructions, so her refills are always right, always current, and always on their way before she runs out. This is what lets her care continue without you ever having to think about it.

Partner pet-insurance providers

For families who choose coverage, we share the details our partner pet-insurance providers need to enroll your cat and to handle her claims smoothly — her condition, her care history, and the records that keep her protected over a long life. Sharing her record this way means her coverage understands her as well as we do, and her care is never interrupted by paperwork.

The people who help us run furever

We work with trusted service providers — for payments, hosting, delivery, and communication — who handle information on our behalf, under agreements that hold them to this same standard of care, and only so they can help us care for you and your cat.

When the law asks

Rarely, we may share information to comply with the law, to protect the safety of an animal or a person, or in connection with a business transition such as a merger or acquisition — in which case her record, and our promise to keep it, would travel with her.

In every case, the principle is the same: we share her record so that everyone caring for her is always in step, and never for any other reason.

How long we keep it.

For as long as she needs us, we keep her record — the whole of it, the whole of her life. A life of care only makes sense if the record of it is unbroken, so we never let her story thin out or fall away. Every visit, every refill, every small note about who she is stays part of her, year after year.

And when her long life is over, we don't delete her. We lovingly preserve her record afterward, so that she is never forgotten — so that the account of her years with you remains whole, kept safe with us the way a memory is kept. We may also retain certain information for as long as the law requires, or as needed to keep our own records and obligations in good order.

Cookies.

We use a few cookies to make furever feel like home. Some are simply essential — they keep you signed in and the site working. Others help us understand how people use joinfurever.com so we can make it gentler and clearer, and remember small preferences so you don't have to set them twice.

When you first arrive, we'll ask whether you'd like to make yourself at home, or keep to just the essentials. You can change your mind at any time through your browser settings, and the essential cookies will quietly keep things running either way.

Your choices.

Her record is hers, and you are her person. You can:

• See the information we hold about you and about your cat, and ask us to correct anything that isn't right.
• Update your account details and the preferences that shape how we reach you.
• Choose which gentle updates and newsletters you'd like to receive, and step away from any of them whenever you wish.
• Pause Purrpetual™ at any time — her care simply continues however you choose to provide it.
• Ask us questions about how her record is kept and shared, and tell us how you'd prefer us to handle it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your information under your local laws, including the right to request a copy of it or to ask us to delete certain parts of it. We'll always honor those rights, and we'll always be honest with you about what we're able to keep — because some of her record is what keeps her care continuous, and we hold onto that part for her sake. Children's privacy.

furever is meant for grown-ups who are ready to give a cat a home for life, so our service isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Of course, we hope a furever cat grows up surrounded by children who adore her — and if a child writes to us with a question about a cat they love, we'll answer kindly. If you believe a child has given us information directly, please let us know and we'll take care of it.

Changes to this policy.

As furever grows and as we find better ways to care for the cats in our keeping, we may update this policy. When we make a meaningful change, we'll post the new version here with a fresh effective date, and let our families know. The promise underneath it won't change: to hold her story carefully, to keep her care continuous, and never to let her be forgotten.
